Five Cleaning Innovations We're Bringing to Foremost Clients
Every year, a few products shine at trade shows; they're the ones that people keep talking about long after the event.
Since Interclean Amsterdam this year, we've been watching five of them closely, and we're now bringing all five into what we offer our clients.
ACTIV8: a vacuum head that doesn't wreck your back
Racer Technologies built ACTIV8 to work differently and not fatigue your back. It's a battery-powered vacuum head for backpack vacuums, and instead of pushing and pulling, you move it side to side in a figure-eight, more like mopping, standing upright the whole time.
A swivel joint in the center gives it a full 360-degree turn across carpet and hard floors, and two brushes spin in opposite directions to lift dirt in one pass rather than two or three.
Racer Technologies says "it cuts vacuuming time in half and can double productivity".
With a battery life of about two to three hours and less bending and twisting over an eight-hour shift, it's a no-brainer.
i-hygienic: plant-based cleaning that still performs
For years, "eco-friendly" cleaning chemicals meant settling for less. Gentler on the planet, sure, but you'd still reach for the strong stuff when something needed proper cleaning.
i-hygienic says "that trade-off shouldn't exist anymore."
Their cleaning liquids are made from plants rather than petroleum, things like wheat, corn, sugarcane, and rapeseed, and they're sold as matching or beating standard products on actual cleaning power. The range covers washrooms, surfaces, floors, kitchens, laundry, and disinfection.
The certifications back this up rather than just sounding good on a label. Over 40 products carry Cradle to Cradle Gold certification. More than 20 are EU Ecolabel certified. Several are NSF food-safe-certified, and the range has Green Key accreditation, too.
If your organization needs to show real progress on sustainability rather than green-tinted marketing, this range earns a proper look.
Hagleitner foamGUN PRO: foam without the hand cramp
Anyone who's used a manual foam gun for a full shift knows the ache in your hand from pumping it again and again, and how patchy the coverage gets, especially on walls.
Hagleitner's foamGUN PRO is cordless and battery-powered. Press a button, and it sprays for you. A dial lets you adjust how thick or thin the foam comes out, depending on the surface you're working on.
It has a quick-change bottle adapter, so swapping between cleaning products takes seconds instead of stopping to refill. It's built to pair with Hagleitner's high-concentration dosing cartridges, and a single cartridge can produce up to 1,300 litres of usable foam. It covers kitchens, sanitary areas, general surfaces and disinfection. It's a small thing in some ways, but it turns a tiring, fiddly job into a lot easier one.
Numatic RSB Pro 3: a lighter backpack vacuum, coming in 2027
The weight and comfort of backpack vacuums are constant complaints among cleaning staff, and this is Numatic's answer to that.
It weighs 4.8kg, holds 3 litres, and runs on Numatic's new NX100 battery system with a 350W motor. It's built slim, just 204mm deep, so it sits closer to the body and helps with balance over a shift. There's a detachable, washable harness, and you can add a HEPA13 filter if you need one. This has not yet been released and we are hoping to laucnh it early 2027. We will keep you updated.
Leaf: laundry detergent as a sheet, not a bottle
Leaf is a UK laundry brand that's swapped bottles and pods for a sheet. You drop one sheet in with your washing with no measuring or pouring and no plastic bottle to throw away afterward.
Less packaging, less weight, and less space taken up in the cupboard. The sheets are vegan and free from microplastics.
Five very different products, but they're chasing the same thing from different angles: less strain on the people doing the work, and less of a compromise between doing right by the planet and actually getting the job done properly. We're rolling all five into what we offer, with Numatic joining once it launches in 2027. If you'd like to be among the first to use them, speak to your account manager.
