BioForce3- live cultures in cleaning.

Did you grow up thinking that all bacteria are harmful? Some bacteria are actually good for you, there are even live cultures in your gut that help you stay healthy.

Technology in cleaning takes years of developing, fine-tuning and tweaking to get it to the advanced capabilities that are available to us today, and one area where this is the case is the use of live cultures in cleaning as a natural alternative that is kinder for our people and the environment.

This article is an overview of how the use of live cultures in cleaning products has evolved over the years. From Enzymatic to Synbiotic, this is what they are and what makes them different.

Generation #1 - Enzymatic cleaners

Enzymatic cleaning products break down the soil molecules into smaller pieces, making the cleaning action easier. However, the enzymes can only be developed to tackle one kind of dirt, meaning that enzymatic cleaners will only combat the dirt type that they are developed for.

Generation #2 - Probiotic cleaners

Probiotic cleaners contain live bacteria to assist the cleaning process. Because these are live cultures, they can keep producing enzymes - meaning the cleaning actions can carry on for up to 3 days after the initial clean.
So, following enzymatics, an additional stage has been added in that the live bacteria produce the enzymes that break down the dirt and then those live bacteria consume the broken down soil molecules. This means that a wider variety of dirt types can be catered for with probiotics.

Generation #3 - Synbiotic cleaners

With Synbiotic cleaners you add a further stage. The probiotics are kept alive for longer with prebiotics (food for the probiotics) which are now added. This means that the probiotics can create more enzymes, and the whole process can be more effective and stay alive for longer. As a result, a longer lasting, deeper clean is achieved.
